Open Internet Transparency Disclosure

The following disclosure describes the network practices, performance characteristics and commercial terms for The Peetz Cooperative Telephone Company as well as Peetz Communications LLC pursuant to the Federal Communications Commission’s Open Internet Transparency requirements in 47C.F.R §8.3.

Network Practices

  • Congestion Management:

The Peetz Cooperative Telephone Company or its affiliates’ network is continuously monitored to ensure it is meeting the needs of our customers. Customers can expect higher latency during peak hours which are from 6pm to 11pm daily.

  • Application-Specific Behavior:

The Peetz Cooperative Telephone Company or its affiliates does not block or otherwise inhibit, favor or rate control lawful protocols of any kind nor any lawful applications or classes of applications as described in our Acceptable Use Policy.

  • Device Attachment Rules:

The Peetz Cooperative Telephone Company or its affiliates does not restrict the devices that may attach to our network.  However, in the event that a customer supplies their own modem, configuration parameters will be provided and customer will be responsible for programming.

  • Security:

In the event email or web servers become infected The Peetz Cooperative Telephone Company or its affiliates reserves the right to address these situations on an as-needed basis to ensure the integrity of our network.

Performance Characteristics

The Peetz Cooperative Telephone Company or its affiliates does not offer any specialized services that would prevent customers from experiencing the levels of service described below.

Actual speeds and expected latency results are determined from internal testing.  Note: Speeds are burstable to maximum purchased speed.

Commercial Terms

  • Pricing:

– Business with 5 or more computers connected will be charged an additional $15 per month.

– Static IP  additional $5 a month.

– One email box is provided for free with an active connection agreement.  Each additional email account will be $2 each a month.

– If additional wiring is needed there will be $25 per hour charge plus materials.

  • Privacy Policies:

Traffic information is not stored, provided to third parties, or used by the carrier for non-network management purposes.
